Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to support adult and pediatric patients with ventilatory care and oxygen therapy. You will participate in critical care rounds, perform ABG analysis, and assist with bedside procedures and diagnostic tests on a fast-paced unit.

Requirements include a valid Respiratory Therapist license, NBRC credentials, BLS, and ACLS within one year. A minimum of six months of clinical experience is expected, with PALS recommended.

Qualifications

• Current License as a Respiratory Therapist required.
• NBRC credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Sets and maintains ventilatory support for adult and pediatric patients.
• Evaluates patients and documents assessments; consults with physicians on therapy.
• Administers respiratory care and O2 therapy per order or protocol.
• Serves on Code Blue and Rapid Response teams; draws ABGs and maintains airways.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes blood gas values.
• Performs diagnostic studies (oximetry, CO2 monitoring, PFT) and evaluates therapy.
• Assists with bronchoscopy, fluoroscopy, and GI Lab procedures; labels and handles specimens.
