Job summary

Apploi is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join a Skilled Nursing facility in Florida. The RT will independently evaluate and treat geriatric residents, perform a wide range of bedside respiratory therapies, and support nursing staff through quarterly in-services.

The role requires an active COARC-accredited degree, RRT or CRT licensure in the practice state and a current BLS certification. Prior LTC experience is preferred and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in state of practice and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with diverse respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates, checks and assembles equipment.
• Completes a variety of bedside treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, PEP therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, airway management and CPR.
• Performs in-services for nursing staff every quarter and completes daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attends applicable IDT meetings and participates in caseload tracking, auditing and related duties.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.

• Follow procedure and protocol of facility

• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
