Job summary

Apploi is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a skilled nursing facility in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat independently, with a passion for geriatric care and licensure in the state of practice.

You will perform assessments, initiate therapies, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to advance rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and document daily, weekly, and monthly notes.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in program areas such as oxygen weaning and chest PT.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
