Job summary

The Bristal is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Aide (Casual, per diem) for Sundays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at our Holtsville, NY community.

You will provide hands-on care, assist residents with daily activities, and help maintain a safe, dignified living environment in a premier senior living setting. Qualified candidates are NYS-certified nursing assistants or equivalent, with experience in geriatric care and a strong patient, caring demeanor.

Qualifications

• NY-Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent.
• Alzheimer's/dementia experience a plus.
• Must read and speak English.
• Geriatric population experience preferred.
• Reliable, caring and patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents in achieving physical, emotional and psycho-social wellbeing.
• Assist in Wellness area as needed to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Follow policies and procedures and adhere to the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness.
