Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Holtsville, NY is seeking a Resident Care Aide for full-time night shifts (Tuesday through Saturday, 11p-7a). You will provide hands-on care in a warm, dignified environment, assisting residents with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and comfort.

You will be a friendly, familiar presence, supporting residents' physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being while following established policies and nursing staff directions.

Qualifications

• NY-Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide.
• Experience assisting residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read in English.
• Previous experience with geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLs.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Supporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Helping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing.
