Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and families in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately.
• Serve as the primary communication liaison between physicians, nursing staff, therapists, patients, and ancillary departments.
• Initiate and maintain patient medical records within the EMR system.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Process physician orders and ensure timely follow-up.
• Coordinate patient appointments, testing, transportation, and other unit-related activities.
• Monitor and maintain departmental supplies and equipment.
• Ensure patient charges and documentation are accurately processed.
• Assist with clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and record management.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
• Answer patient call lights and communicate requests to clinical staff.
