Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under physician guidance. You will contribute to a fast-paced clinical team delivering high-quality images and patient care.

Responsibilities include producing X-ray images, positioning patients, operating portable equipment in ED, processing films for interpretation, and maintaining equipment with preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current license/certification in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• IV competency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films.
• Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.
• Perform x-ray procedures using portable machine as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units.
• Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
• Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
• Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis.
