Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with physicians’ orders and the procedure manual. The position requires ARRT certification or registry-eligibility, a two-year Radiologic Technology program, state licensure, CPR certification, and experience.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology with Registry within 1 year if eligible.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by confirming orders and verifying identities.
• Performs radiology examinations across all patient ages and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies and standards to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains knowledge of diagnostic imaging services and activities.
• Supports a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors with safety programs.
• Follows radiation safety practices for patients and staff.
• Provides supervision and instruction to students, and supports training programs.
• Participates in performance improvement using PDCA and LEAN methodologies.
• Maintains and uses imaging systems (iSite PACS, SYNGO, Soarian) proficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
