Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with a focus on patient care and quality.

You will ensure accurate imaging data, participate in quality assurance, and educate patients about their exams in a fast-paced radiology department. Responsibilities include operating RIS/HIS systems, maintaining equipment readiness and adhering to safety downtime procedures, with a weekend schedule of 7a-7p Sat/Sun/Mon and a premium

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT registered or registry eligible.
• Must pass registry within 1 year of hire date.
• NJ staff must have current New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (with NJ DEP) and must be registered before date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient and exam and perform diagnostic radiographic services with care.
• Ensure technical continuity of care and educate patients on radiology procedures.
• Demonstrate competence with RIS/HIS modules relevant to duties.
• Assist in data collection for Radiology Quality Assurance/PI program.
• Maintain equipment and supply readiness for the area.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to protect information and care continuity.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through inservices and/or CE.
• Inform patients about their examination and procedures.
• Support department goals to achieve Press Ganey satisfaction through patient education.
• Assist with secretarial and file room duties when needed.
• Assist in lifting/transporting patients and manage patient needs in department.
• Stock radiology room supplies and manage inventory.
• Complete event reports as required and notify Patient Safety Hotline.
