Mercy Physician Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time radiologic technologist for weekend shifts in Cedar Rapids, IA, performing general diagnostic radiographic procedures and basic lab work.

The role includes processing tests, phlebotomy, and adherence to CLIA guidelines, with patient registration in EPIC and image handling via PACS-Isite. You will work weekends (Sat-Sun 8am-3pm) and support patient care by ensuring accurate exams, proper labeling, and timely reporting to physicians.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• Iowa permit to practice radiography is required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter training for Dependent Adult/Child is required.
• Associate degree in radiologic technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiographic procedures on all body parts.
• Process lab tests and perform venipuncture.
• Register patients in EPIC Radiology module and manage orders.
• Prepare images and obtain prior films via PACS-Isite; ensure correct patient ID on all images.
• Review exams for technical accuracy and report issues.
• Follow phlebotomy protocols and collect specimens per procedures.
• Document lab results and distribute reports to physicians.
• Perform quality assurance and maintenance on lab equipment.
• Assist in orientation and training of students and new staff.
• Prepare patient rooms, collect histories, vitals, and medication lists.
• Monitor inventory and maintain supplies in the lab and radiology areas.
