Job summary

nVent is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Weekend Shift to ensure consistent quality of fabricated components, pre-assemblies, and received material. The role includes leading safety on weekends, initiating stop-work when needed, and coordinating with EHS and site leadership to maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities involve performing inspections, releasing holds, auditing shipments, and maintaining robust quality records.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Understand fabrication, pre-assembly, and receiving processes.
• Proficiency with ERP/quality systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to apply JSAs.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, pre-assembly, and final inspections to verify conformance to drawings and specs.
• Complete Quality Control checklists and release holds when criteria are met.
• Inspect incoming materials and coordinate supplier quality issues.
• Audit pick lists and shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide on-shift safety leadership and enforce PPE and safety procedures.
