Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer for the Riddle Hospital campus in Media, PA. The role involves on- and off-campus surveillance to ensure a safe environment and protect patients, staff, and visitors.

Night shift from 7pm to 7:30am, every other weekend, with per diem scheduling. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and PA Lethal Weapons Training certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record for the last ten years.
• Certified or eligible for PA Act 235 Lethal Weapons Training.
• Must complete MOAB parts 1–3 within four months of employment.
• Experience in healthcare or security/customer service preferred.
• Strong keyboarding skills; proficient in MS Word and Outlook.

• Oversee on- and off-campus safety to maintain a secure environment.
• Monitor and respond to emergent situations using sound judgment.
• Provide courteous, professional safety support to patients, staff and visitors.

Experience:

• 1. Experience in a healthcare setting or security/customer service-related field preferred.
• 2. Must possess strong keyboarding skills and proficiency in MS Office Word and Outlook.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Licensures/Certifications:

• 1. Valid driver's license and good driving record for the last ten years.
• 2. Must be certified or eligible for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Lethal Weapons Training Certification (Act 235).
• 3. Must complete Managing of Aggressive Behavior or MOAB parts 1, 2 & 3 within four months of employment.
