Responsibilities

• Provide professional security support at a corporate headquarters environment in Rockville, MD.
• Monitor enterprise-wide security systems, alarms, cameras, and access control platforms from the Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and security concerns per established procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct investigations and document security events, unusual activity, and incidents impacting company personnel, facilities, or operations.
• Perform routine patrols, facility inspections, and security checks of the headquarters location.
• Monitor employee, visitor, and contractor access while ensuring compliance with site security procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, pass-down logs, and other required documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
• Coordinate with local management, emergency responders, and enterprise stakeholders during incidents and emergencies.
• Support business continuity, emergency response, and after-hours security operations.
• Maintain a professional presence and deliver exceptional customer service to employees, guests, and visitors.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Must be capable of multitasking and making sound decisions in a fast‑paced operations environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
• Prior experience in security, dispatch, emergency communications, corporate security, security operations centers (SOC), military, law enforcement, or customer service preferred.
• Maryland Security Guard Certification or ability to obtain and maintain required credentials.

Schedule / Coverage Needs

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
