Job summary

Homeward Bound Inc. in Dallas, TX, seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. This weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday, 8 hours per shift) may be weekly or every other week, with occasional PRN hours.

You will provide direct patient care in crisis residential and respite units, conduct evaluations, prescribe medications, order labs, and support staff. Experience in addiction medicine is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license.
• At least 1 year of psychiatric NP experience.
• Knowledge of addiction medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in crisis residential and crisis respite units.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and nursing assessments for new patients.
• Prescribe and manage medications as needed.
• Transcribe MARs and review lab results.
• Coordinate care and de-escalate crises; train LVNs/CMAs.
• Document accurately in charting and guide staff documentation.
• Treat co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders, including MAT and detox meds.
