Job summary

Assisting Hands is seeking individuals to join the Weekend Professional Team, committing to recurring weekend hours and delivering reliable, compassionate care to clients in their homes.

Weekend Team members earn base pay plus a $1.50 per hour premium, with an additional $8 per hour on short 2–3 hour shifts, plus a $100 bonus every 100 hours worked. Vehicle and referral bonuses are included, with time-and-a-half on holidays and PTO accrual.

Qualifications

• At least one year of paid, professional caregiving experience beyond caring for relatives
• A professional work reference
• Experience with personal care and activities of daily living
• Ability to perform safe transfers using a gait belt
• Proof of relevant training—such as CNA, nursing, CBRF, HHA, PCW, or current enrollment in a healthcare program—or the ability to demonstrate the required skills at our office
• Valid driver’s license
• A reliable vehicle that is consistently available for work
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Dependable attendance and a genuine commitment to recurring weekend work

Assisting Hands is building a select Weekend Professional Team for caregivers our clients can count on week after week. Weekend Team members commit to recurring weekend availability, provide continuity for clients, and meet a higher standard for attendance and reliability.

Benefits & Compensation Overview:

• Attractive base pay + $1.50-per-hour Weekend Team premium

Candidates Requirements:

To join the Weekend Professional Team, you must:

• Commit to at least one recurring weekend day—Saturday or Sunday—every weekend
• Work at least 16 weekend hours per monthMaintain your weekend commitment for at least 90 days
• Accept recurring client assignments as they become available
• Maintain excellent attendance and avoid repeated call-offs
• Consistently meet our standards for client care, documentation, EVV, and professional conduct

For this program, weekend hours are shifts beginning between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and midnight Sunday. This means a Sunday overnight shift beginning before midnight qualifies, while a Friday overnight shift beginning before Saturday does not.
