Always Best Care Senior Services in Lexington, KY is seeking a dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate, high-quality personal care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. You will assist with ADLs, meals, mobility, transportation, and light housekeeping, following care plans and documenting activities.

We offer training for enthusiastic individuals, flexible weekend scheduling, and a supportive team environment with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; able to read and write notes in English.
• Able to pass a background check and a drug test.
• Have a valid driver7s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Engage clients in activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social events.
• Follow care plans and communicate with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Document daily activities and care plan progress; raise concerns when needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Shifts Available

Weekend Day shiftscan be anywhere from 4 hours to 12 hours long, and will generally occur between 8a and 8p. We are flexible and will work around your school or family schedule as much as is possible. Expected commitment is minimum 8 hours per weekend. Overtime is allowed.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team. This vital role involves delivering high-quality personal care and support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate nature combined with relevant experience in skilled nursing, home care, or assisted living environments. However, we will train enthusiastic people with compassionate hearts, so don't let a lack of experience keep you from applying!

Duties

• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social gatherings.
• Follow established care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized care delivery.
• Document daily activities and completion of care plan. Communicate concerns and client needs with office.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures willingly and completely.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation. Must be fluent in spoken English and be able to read and write notes in English.
• Able to pass a background check and a drug test.
• Have a valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift a weight of 35 lbs and carry it 25 feet several times per day.
• Be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
