Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Rocky Mount, VA is hiring a Production Associate to fabricate component parts for final window assembly in a fast-paced environment. The role requires following written and verbal instructions and working with hand and power tools.

The job involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and, ideally, prior manufacturing or tape-measure experience. Benefits start on day one and a shoe voucher is available as part of the perks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis
• Prefer experience in manufacturing
• Prefer experience reading a tape measure

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure to read measurements and inspect for defects
• Operate equipment needed to perform the job
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
