Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Speech Therapist to evaluate and treat patients referred for Speech Language Pathology services. This casual/PRN role supports weekend coverage and requires collaboration with a care team to ensure quality patient care and accurate records.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, screenings, and follow-up sessions, maintaining documentation and billing, and communicating with other providers regarding treatment and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Program.
• Current Ohio license to practice Speech Therapy.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient evaluations, screenings, and follow-up sessions for speech, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
• Maintains documentation in the patient’s medical record.
• Maintains proper billing for services provided.
• Communicates with other healthcare providers about treatment and discharge planning.
• Advises colleagues on technical/clinical matters related to speech-language pathology.
