Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach is seeking a Recreation Aide to support residents' therapeutic recreation needs under the supervision of the Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor. Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults in health care or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual recreational program for each resident as part of their overall plan of care.
• Provide the documentation for programs & services.
• Provide input to Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor regarding changes to the activity plan of care.
• Document participation or regression for regulatory compliance.
• Lead and direct activities for residents in health care, assisted living, and memory unit.
• Operate the computer and communicate effectively in writing to complete tasks for the department.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor.
• Interact with residents in a manner compliant with their rights at all times.
