Tarboro Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. This PRN weekend position will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and help residents achieve their physical therapy goals.

You will promote recovery, improve functional mobility, and enhance overall well-being of residents in a skilled nursing facility setting, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifikationen

• Active North Carolina license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or geriatric care preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out individualized treatment plans for residents based on their physical needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility, and function.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to residents during therapy sessions.
• Monitor and report on residents’ progress, documenting changes and updating treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on exercise routines and safety measures to follow after therapy.
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations regarding rehabilitation therapy.
