Job summary

Tarboro Health & Rehabilitation in Tarboro, NC is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our weekend-focused PRN team. Qualifications

• OTA program completion with associate degree.
• Current NC COTA certification.
• Active NC licensure as COTA.

Responsibilities

• Carry out therapy interventions under the Occupational Therapist's direction, focusing on ADLs such as bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility.
• Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions, using exercises, activities and assistive devices to promote functional abilities.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all therapy sessions, including treatment details and resident progress.
• Educate residents and families on continuing therapeutic exercises and use of adaptive equipment at home, as guided by the OT.
• Collaborate with the OT, nursing staff, and other rehab professionals to coordinate care and meet treatment goals.
• Adhere to facility policies and state/federal regulations to ensure proper care standards.
