Ellison Bakery in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a Pre-Bake Floater Operator to support production across ovens, mixers, and pre-weigh areas. You will work Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 AM–7:30 PM and 7:30 PM–7:30 AM, with responsibilities spanning preparation, mixing, and equipment maintenance.

You must understand English safety courses and follow work instructions. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be mechanically inclined, and able to read data on screens.

• Must be able to understand and follow direction and pass all Food Safety and Safety courses in the English language (Required)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers with decimals
• Ability to read computer screens and enter data
• Read and follow work instructions
• Communicate effectively with co-workers
• Work independently with self-management
• Mechanically inclined

Mansioni

• Attend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings
• Participation and adherence to all food safety and safety programs
• Completion of assigned Alchemy courses that are required throughout the year
• Perform day to day production operations when needed in either the oven area, mixing area and/or the pre-weigh area
• Pre-weighing and preparing of raw baking ingredients
• Combining dry and wet ingredients in industrial-sized mixers
• Breaking down and installing rollers, dies, and other machinery parts
• Washing equipment and parts between production changeovers
• Maintain equipment and work area in a sanitary and working condition
• Assist Mixer Operators in getting required ingredients as needed
• Assist Oven Operators in change-overs as needed
• Assist other areas of production as needed
• Effectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employees
