Job summary

Valence is seeking a hands-on shop floor operator in West Springfield, MA. The role involves inspecting parts before, during, and after processing and safely operating all required machinery with routine maintenance.

Fork truck training is available for designated staff; expect a clean, safe workspace and strict adherence to Valence procedures. The position requires following detailed router steps, working with quality documentation in the Valence system, and lifting up to 50 lb while performing

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read process traveler and fill out completed operations.
• Ability to perform simple cleaning operations.
• Ability to assist as a helper to trained operators.
• Able to follow verbal and written direction.
• Able to use basic hand tools such as wrenches and clamps.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of the part before, during, and after processing.
• Operate all necessary machinery and instruments safely, including routine maintenance; fork truck training for designated employees.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Able to locate and understand relevant Quality system documentation in the Valence computer system.
• Understand and perform steps defined in the Valence ROUTER and follow procedures for filling out routers and correcting input mistakes.
• Process parts with little or no supervision.
• Protect parts from damage and avoid damaging them.
