Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting a weekend Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Corning, NY. Our compassionate therapy team provides rehab services in a state-of-the-art rehab gym and welcomes both new grads and seasoned professionals.

You will evaluate residents, relieve pain with exercises, supervise PT assistants, and ensure confidentiality while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members &contributes to team effort.
