Job summary

Maxor National Pharmacy Services is seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Weekend Pharmacy Technician Intern for the Callen Lorde Manhattan location. The role involves greeting customers, taking prescription orders, and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care at the Chelsea Callen Lorde Community Healthcare Center.

The intern will assist with daily tasks, including handling phone calls, updating computer records, and maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required or eligible to obtain within 6 months.
• NY Licensed Pharmacy Intern preferred / encouraged.
• 2+ years retail pharmacy experience; HIV/AIDS setting preferred.
• Computer experience mandatory.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take prescription orders.
• Convey empathy and handle customer service issues.
• Operate the cash register.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and the shelves stocked.
