Job summary

University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Weekend Program OR Charge Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative nursing care with weekend premium pay at Liberty Hospital. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the perioperative unit while coordinating with the health care team.

This full-time role requires an RN license, ADN with BSN by 5th anniversary for ADN hires, and 1+ year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate requirement.
• ADN required; BSN by fifth anniversary for ADN hires.
• 1+ year experience as a Clinical Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care priorities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments for the unit.
• Develop and update the patient care plan.
• Document all aspects of care per hospital policy.
• Evaluate interventions and revise care plans as needed.
• Follow safety policies in medication administration and handoffs.
• Involve patients and families in outcomes and goals.
• Participate in quality improvement efforts.
