Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System – Liberty Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in Liberty, MO. The RN provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for surgical patients with OR experience.

This full-time role offers a 6:45 am–3:15 pm schedule, no on-call, and a weekend rotation every 4 weeks, with opportunities to pursue BSN. Join a multidisciplinary team focused on safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• ADN required; BSN expected within five years for ADN hires
• 1+ year of clinical nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Analyzes assessment data to determine patient care priorities.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Completes comprehensive patient assessments specific to perioperative care.
• Develops and updates the patient plan of care.
• Documents all aspects of care per hospital policy.
• Evaluates intervention effectiveness and revises plan of care.
• Follows safety policies (med admin, handoffs) and involves patient/family in outcomes.
• Implements plan of care using resources and best evidence.
