NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Laboratory Technologist. This role involves performing routine and complex tests across all lab areas, with potential to rotate through sections and take on in-charge duties when qualified.

On-site work at Cortlandt Manor, NY, two shifts per month on weekends. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology (or equivalent), NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, and ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent curriculum) required.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure required.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in all lab areas.
• Conduct automated and manual tests in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology.
• Rotate between sections as needed and assume “in-charge” responsibilities when supervisory criteria are met.
• Obtain and receive laboratory specimens such as blood, urine and body fluids and interpret results.
