Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP seeks a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for weekend and PRN pediatrics. You will provide one-on-one therapy in children’s homes under the supervision of a licensed SLP, focusing on communication, feeding, and swallowing skills.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, collaboration with a supportive interdisciplinary team, and opportunities to mentor new graduates while delivering high-quality, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
• Current Texas SLPA license (or eligible to obtain prior to start date).
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Implement individualized treatment plans to address: Speech disorders, Language delays, Articulation and phonological disorders, Feeding and swallowing challenges, Social communication skills.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Educate and support parents and caregivers with home programs and therapeutic strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, family-centered care.
• Build positive, lasting relationships with children and their families through compassionate, one-on-one care.
