Job summary

WellStone Emergency Services Pediatric Unit (WES Pediatric) seeks Behavioral Health Technicians for two part-time weekend shifts in Huntsville, AL. Duties include guiding clients, documenting progress in the EHR, and supporting the treatment team in a pediatric behavioral health setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain). Other certifications such as MAC 1 and CPI are welcomed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Certified in BLS/CPR and SAMA or ability to obtain.
• Medication Assistant Certification (MAC 1) or ability to obtain.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, guidance, and reinforcement to clients.
• Document resident progress in the Electronic Health Record.
• Coordinate activities, conduct group therapy, and document progress.
• Work closely with the WES Treatment Team.
• Complete staff notes, incident reports, and other required reports timely.
• May assist with lifting up to 50 lbs and maintain safety standards.
