Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a patient care technician/ Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nursing staff and manage patient records. You will greet patients and families on arrival and perform clerical tasks under RN direction.

Qualifications include CNA certification or CMA, high school diploma, and RSF PCT Training upon hire. Experience in acute care or assisted living is valued. Competitive benefits and weekend availability noted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited high school or GED with nursing/assistance program.
• Current CNA certification (HS Diploma not required).
• Experience as patient care tech in acute care or nursing home; direct patient care in assisted living also acceptable.
• Must complete RSF PCT Training Program on hire.
• Current CMA certification with RSF PCT Training Program on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with clerical and patient care duties under RN supervision.
• Maintain and update patient records in a timely, orderly manner.
• Greet customers upon arrival to unit and demonstrate a friendly attitude.
• Report changes in patient condition to the nurse.
