Job summary

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join the NSG Progressive Care team in Mt Pleasant.

You will assist nursing staff with patient care and clerical tasks under RN supervision, while maintaining accurate patient records and delivering courteous, professional service to patients and families. This role requires CNA certification or completion of a nursing assistant program, with RSF PCT training upon hire for eligible candidates; a

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED with Nursing Assistant program or CNA certification.
• CNA preferred; HS diploma or GED not required.
• Experience as patient care technician or direct patient care in acute care or nursing home acceptable.
• Must complete RSF PCT Training Program upon hire for certain candidates.
• Current CMA certification required for some roles; RSF PCT Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff by performing clerical and patient care duties under RN direction.
• Maintain and update patient records in a timely, orderly manner.
• Acknowledge and greet customers upon arrival to unit with a friendly approach.
• Support daily operations on the unit and report changes in patient condition to nurses.
