HCA Florida Fort Walton‑Destin Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the weekend float pool. You will assist Registered Nurses with daily patient needs, monitor vital signs, mobility, and personal care, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for patients.

No prior experience is required; Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of start. This role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
