Job summary

Mid-Continent Hospitality LLC is seeking a Maintenance Staff member for weekend, part-time and on-call shifts at the Flower Mound property. The role includes assisting with operations, maintenance, service and repair, and participating in preventative maintenance programs.

Duties cover carpentry, painting, plumbing, and related trades while ensuring safe, efficient hotel operations. Ideal candidates will hold a trade license, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift heavy objects

Responsibilities

• Assist with operations, maintenance, service and repair of the property.

• Drive shuttle van when needed and follow safety procedures.

Job Title: Maintenance Staff

Job Summary

The Maintenance Staff is responsible for assisting with the operations, maintenance, service, and repair of property. He/she is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program, executing guest requests and other work orders as assigned. He/she is responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs, such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc. May require driving shuttle van when needed (property specific).

Essential Job Functions

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
• Comply with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Follow all hotel and departmental procedures and policies.
• Report all emergencies and unusual situations immediately.
• Handle guest room maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance for guest rooms to include vinyl repair, touch up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs, change out light bulbs, etc.
• Perform quarterly maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, swimming pool and hot tub.
• Assist (when necessary) with plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply, repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause – determine emergency status and report to the manager on duty with findings.
• Point out and assist with eliminating safety concerns.
• Assist in maintenance of health code requirements for pool and spa.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license of the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) property specific. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Long hours may be required.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
