The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Learn to Skate Instructor for the Class of 1923 Ice Rink. This temporary part-time role focuses on weekend shifts, with up to 29 hours weekly, and provides instruction for Learn to Skate programs under supervision of the Learn to Skate Director.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to skate and teach lessons, weekend availability, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Availability to work weekends is required as scheduled.
Must be able to Skate and possess ability to teach skating lessons at the discretion and approval of Learn to Skate Director.
US Figure Skating Association certification preferred.
Registration with Learn to Skate USA is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to a diverse customer base.
Ability to instruct students of all ages (5yo and up).

Responsabilités

Instruct group skating lessons per the Learn to Skate Directors daily plan.
Assist in communications from lesson to Learn to Skate Director and Learn to Skate administrator, Director and Assistant Manager.
Work cooperatively with the Assistant Manager and LTS Director and Shift Supervisor on duty.
Other duties as assigned
