Job summary

CompleteRx is seeking a weekend-only Pharmacy Technician to support South Shore Hospital in South Chicago, IL. This part-time role offers $21.00 per hour with a $1.65 per hour second-shift differential, working Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 8pm.

You'll assist in procuring and distributing medications, prepare sterile products, and deliver drugs across patient care areas. Requires a high school diploma and hospital pharmacy experience preferred; registration and certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the state of employment.
• Possess National Pharmacy Technician Certification if required in the state of employment.
• Formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
• Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
• Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
• Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
• Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
• Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
• Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
• Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.
