Job summary

CompleteRx seeks a weekend Pharmacy Technician for South Shore Hospital in Chicago, IL. This part-time role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 8pm, with a 2nd shift differential. Key duties include procuring, dispensing, sterile compounding, and supporting cart deliveries in an acute care setting.

The position offers hospital pharmacy experience, 401(k) and paid time off benefits. A high school diploma and hospital experience are required, with state registration and national certification

Qualifications

• Six months of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Current pharmacy technician registration in the state of employment, if required.
• National Certification preferred where required by state.
• Formal Pharmacy Technician training course completed is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure and distribute drug orders to patient care areas and departments.
• Identify and fill replacement medications for crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock.
• Prepare sterile products including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
• Rotate stock to ensure use before expiration dates.
• Retrieve orders and medications for return during rounds.
• Enter charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
• Identify and replace outdated and unusable drugs.
