Job summary

Catbird NYC is seeking a part-time Stylist in Chicago to guide customers toward demi-fine jewelry, perform ear piercings, and weld Forever Jewelry with precision. This role emphasizes high-touch service, relationship building, and sales-driven experiences on the sales floor.

The ideal candidate brings retail know-how, comfort with hands-on services after training, and a team‑oriented attitude. Weekend availability is required (Saturday & Sunday). Plus commission!

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred.
• Jewelry experience is a plus.
• Comfort performing hands-on services including device-based piercing and welding after training.
• Able to stand for long periods and maintain a clean, organized store.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-touch, sales-focused experience that converts browsers into buyers.
• Confidently sell demi-fine jewelry based on style and budget.
• Perform device-based ear piercings and educate customers on care.
• Weld Forever Jewelry and suggest complementary purchases.
• Educate on materials, craftsmanship, fit, styling, and care.
• Maintain visual and quality standards on the sales floor.
• Support daily store operations: receiving, pricing, restocking, merchandising, inventory.
• Collaborate with leadership and teammates to meet sales goals.
