Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a weekend shift packaging operator at our Horse Cave plant to assist in operating packaging equipment, inspect products, and assemble boxes for shipping. This role involves rotating across lines within the department and maintaining strict safety and quality standards in a climate-controlled facility.

Pay rate is $23.84 per hour, with a schedule of Friday–Sunday from 5:00am to 5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment requiring repetitive work.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – verbally & written – and work well with team members and management.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and good math skills are helpful.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

• Operates the filler on an assigned line and ensures correct sealing and packaging of products.
• Assists in pulling supplies and loading the filler throughout the production process.
• Maintains high safety standards and OSHA compliance.
• Performs daily PPE inspections and ensures proper protective equipment is worn.
• Inspects products and packaging for quality, recording results and documentation.
• Sets up machines prior to shift start and ensures materials are replenished for continuous production.
• Coordinates with operators and leads to ensure smooth shift handoffs and production flow.
