Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Weekend 1st Shift packaging and line operator at our Horse Cave Plant in Kentucky. You will operate the filler, ensure proper sealing and packaging, load supplies, and help prepare boxes and cases for shipping.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork on a fast-paced production line. You will comply with PPE and OSHA standards and may rotate across lines to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment requiring repetitive work.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – verbally & written – and work well with Team Members and Management.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and good math skills are helpful.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast paced environment.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operates the filler of an assigned line and ensures proper sealing and packaging.
• Loads supplies and loads filler appropriately throughout the production process.
• Maintains safety standards and PPE inspections to OSHA requirements.
• Performs housekeeping and equipment/document inspections.
• Works across lines within the department as needed and participates in meetings.
