Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Security Officer for the Hilton Birmingham at UAB, to join a team dedicated to safety, guest service, and professional conduct across a busy hotel environment.

You will follow safety procedures, perform patrols, document incidents, assist guests in distress, and help maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere for patrons and associates while supporting the property’s standards.

Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years college in safety, security or hospitality related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• 2 years Security or Police (military or civilian) experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for guests and associates.
• Conduct preventive patrols to reduce opportunities for crime and maintain high security visibility.
• Promote a safe and welcoming environment for guests and employees.
• Assist guests in danger or medical situations and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of daily activity and incident reports.
• Assist in developing and presenting security-related programs.
• Edit written security records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
