Village Caregiving is hiring Weekend Overnight In-Home Caretakers in Boardman, OH. The role involves assisting clients with medications, mobility, personal care, and daily activities in the home. You will support light housekeeping and meal prep while ensuring safety and companionship.

The position emphasizes compassionate communication, adherence to health protocols, and the ability to handle emergencies. High school diploma is required, and experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with medications as prescribed.
• Support mobility and ambulation in and around the home and at appointments.

• Run errands or accompany clients to shopping when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation with dietary considerations.
• Collect health information from caregivers and medical staff and relay to family.
• Report incidents promptly to nurses, doctors, and family members.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
