Job summary

United Security Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Gate for the Providence, RI area, offering $21.00 per hour. The role involves guarding property, patrolling, enforcing regulations and using de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor for conditions that could cause injury or loss (fires, leaks, faulty equipment).
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by USI Management.

Part - time:

Security Officer Responsibilities and Duties:

• Guards property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to ensure people and property are safe and secure.
• Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
• Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
• Use of oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• All other job duties as related or assigned by USI Management.

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent sense of judgment.
• Can stay alert at all times.
• Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment screenings.
