Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking an Outbound Material Handler to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. You will use handheld scanners and ERP systems to locate items, consolidate orders, and prepare shipments with our SPS system.

The role requires operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment while maintaining safety and quality standards. This position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to daily goals in a fast-paced distribution

Qualifications

1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
Experience operating warehouse equipment and following safety protocols.
Familiarity with ERP and handheld scanning devices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth outbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
Abide by all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
