Job summary

The Restaurant Store is seeking an Outbound Material Handler to ensure timely picking, consolidation, packing and shipping of orders. This role uses handheld scanners, ERP and SPS systems to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a frozen/refrigerated environment.

You will operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment, collaborate with team members, and adhere to safety guidelines while meeting daily targets.

Qualifications

1 year of relevant experience in a distribution env. preferred but not required.
No degree required; relevant skills valued.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, order pickers, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced env.

Responsibilities

Retrieve items from racking accurately using handheld scanners and ERP system; move on foot or with forklift.
Sort and consolidate picked items; prepare orders for shipment processing.
Pack products accurately and securely using the SPS system; focus on customer experience.
Operate warehouse equipment following all safety protocols and promote safe working standards.
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly department goals and abide by company policies.
Assist in other positions and departments as needed to support operations.

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth outbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using our handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
Abide by all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
