Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a weekend Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility at Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Carthage, NY. You will evaluate residents, develop rehabilitation plans, and provide therapies to improve daily living activities with our dedicated rehab team.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited OT program with a current New York State OT license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current New York State OT license.
• Weekend availability considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents' pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
