Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead weekend Main OR operations within a Level I Trauma Center. The role partners with the Nurse Manager and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care and staffing.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred), Texas RN license, BLS, CNOR preferred within one year, and 3+ years perioperative leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or compact license to practice professional nursing.
• BLS certification required; professional certification in clinical area or management within one year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assists with deployment of departmental goals that support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Plans, coordinates, and directs effective coordination of care between units, nurses and providers.
• Develops staff schedules and manages day-to-day operational components of the unit.
• Provides mentorship and acts as a preceptor for staff and less experienced personnel.
• Leads quality improvement efforts and ensures PI standards are met daily.
