Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide occupational health services at the client’s onsite clinic in Radford, VA, following LPN scope and WorkCare protocols.

You will deliver first aid, episodic and return-to-work support, and assist with medical surveillance and safety initiatives under CMD, PA/NP, RN, and leadership.

Schedule is Saturday and Sunday 6:00am–6:00pm (24 hours weekly); benefits include 401k; hourly pay range is $33–$36.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid LPN license in Virginia.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2–3 years of urgent care, emergency department, or occupational health experience.
• Experience with EMR systems and basic office software applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and basic nursing care for occupational injuries and illnesses within LPN/LVN scope.
• Deliver episodic care for minor medical concerns using WorkCare guidelines and under CMD/RN direction.
• Provide rapid first aid and emergency support during clinic hours within licensure limitations.
• Follow evidence-based nursing practice to support health promotion and injury prevention.
• Assist employees with pain-management education and prevention strategies under PA/NP/RN/CMD guidance.
• Provide pre-packaged OTC medications as appropriate and allowed by state regulations.
