Job summary

WorkCare seeks an LPN to provide occupational health services at our on-site clinic in Radford, VA. You will deliver first aid, episodic care, and surveillance support under leadership, ensuring compliance with protocols and patient safety.

The role involves shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, with a total of 24 hours per week, and requires a Virginia LPN license and BLS. Expect collaboration with CMD, RN, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse with Virginia license.
• Current BLS certification.
• 2–3 years of urgent care or occupational health experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and basic nursing care within LPN scope.
• Deliver episodic care for minor medical concerns.
• Provide rapid first aid and emergency support during clinic hours.
• Follow evidence-based nursing practice to support health promotion.
• Assist employees with pain-management education and prevention strategies.
• Assist with return-to-work evaluations and fitness-for-duty procedures.
• Support medical surveillance programs and immunizations as allowed.
• Accurately document encounters in the EMR and maintain records.
