Job summary

Ellsworth County Medical Center in Kansas is looking for a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide weekend on-call coverage. This position values autonomy and meaningful patient relationships.

Ideal candidates will manage inpatients and ER needs, collaborate with medical teams, and offer flexible scheduling. Competitive compensation starting at $75.00/hour and housing provided during coverage. Kansas licensure and prior experience in emergency or rural health preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Kansas or ability to obtain.
• DEA certification preferred.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend on-call coverage in a rural healthcare setting.
• Manage inpatient, ER support, and/or clinic needs depending on schedule.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and leadership.

Skills

Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Emergency, family practice, hospitalist, or rural health experience

Excellent organization and prioritization skills

Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills

Education

Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
